We'll be in Rome for 3 days at the end of April. We'll have Rick's book but want to take a couple group tours as well. Probably the Colosseum/Forum and The Vatican. I've read a lot about Through Eternity and Roman Odyssey. Any thought on which tour company to use and what tours to take? Is a Scavi Tour part of the Vatican tour? I should get these booked. Thanks

You can book tours of the colosseum through their official site and the Vatican museums through their official sites. The scavi tour is not part of the Vatican museums tour. The Vatican consists of many areas and there is no one tour that goes to all of them. There is the scavi tour, the vatican museums tour, the vatican museums tour that includes the basilica and the vatican gardens tour. They don't allow anyone under 15 years of age and you must be properly dressed and no large bags are allowed. Donna
