I was wondering if you can remember the best place you had Gelato in Venice?
Rick Steves suggests La Boutique del Gelato as being the best in Venice. Have you been there, and would you recommend it as the best?
This is my second trip to Venice, and I remember having excellent Gelato, but I don't remember the name of the gelateria it was from.

My personal favorite is La Boutique del Gelato, but these other two are very close and my wife likes Nico better.

The best gelato in Venice was always, always, the one in my hand.
Gelato in Rome was disappointing - and hard to find in February. In the cold rainy north, gelato was everywhere and everyone was indulging. Not in sunny Roma. Maybe because it just doesn't taste as good?
Yes, I do remember the best Gelato I had in Venice...I had it there in 2008 and 2003. However, I never looked at the name and trying to figure it out on a map of Venice...yea, It is somewhere between San Marco and Rialto. However, if you buy me a ticket, I would be happy to accompany you on your trip to Venice and lead you right to it!! No? Then think of me when you are enjoying your gelato.
