Found a hole in the wall in Monti - Ce Stamo A Pens. AMAZING. creative twist on Italian classics. Ate lunch here and came back for dinner.
Also, the sandwich shop across the square is also excellent!

"Ce stamo a pensà" (Roman dialect for: We are thinking about it")
wow! The best?
What's on the menu?
Classic Italian fare - pizza, pasta, sandwiches but win a create flare - mini fried pizza with meatball, for example. For me, high quality food is all about the eating experience. I've been to way too many "cool, trendy, or high-end establishments" where the food is meh. This place is the opposite - a little cramped, and rustic with an emphasis on a high quality eating experience. The sauce's are heavenly and the presentation beautiful. Something you'd expect from a far more expensive, high-end, Italian restaurant.
They are from Napoli. They serve local Roman and also Neapolitan street food in Rome. I see many locals like it too. Cheap.
