best english speaking place to get a SIM card on arrival in Rome

we will be arriving in Rome 3 March and then take the train to the Termani station. are there places to get a SIM card and help in setting it up for english in the airport or the train station? we will also be looking for a calling card.

we will be walking from the train station to the BBQueen B&B. any places near the station to get the phone stuff?

the BBQueen got rave reviews on trip advisor. got a room for 90 Euros w/breakfast. will report after we stay there.

thanks

How far from the vatican is the BBQueen B&B? We are going in August and have not found an affordable hotel that has good reviews. Make sure your post your impression of the B&B.

There's a Smartphone shop in the Terminal 3 arrival area. I bought a phone and SIM card there last May. They were very helpful and the woman who assisted me spoke good english.

Great question since I want to do the same thing in October. Frank, how much did you have to pay for the phone at the airport?

Nancy:

the BBQueen is near the train terminal. it is just a short walk to the Metro station to get you to the Vatican. You can pretty well walk all over the center of Rome including the vatican and the Colosseum.

Claudette: Don't remember the exact cost, but think it was around 40 euro for cell phone and SIM card with 5 euro of time. I found the deal on the TIM website (www.tim.it) and purchased it at the Smartphone shop. TIM website currently shows phones as low as 29 euro, plus 10 euro for the SIM card. SIM card expires 11 months after last use, but it can be replaced. You can also add time to the SIM card to keep it active at any shop or newsstand with the TIM logo.
