We're staying one night driving from Venice Airport to Cortina; which route would you suggest we drive to/from Cortina? As we're staying the next night in Venice pre cruise, we have a fair amount of time both ways so would like the most spectacular route?

Check viamichelin:
1) With 2 days and one night you can go directly up and back through Belluno (about 3 hours). Then take a circular drive around the Dolomites stopping for coffee and cake where you want.
2) Or go west at Belluno and go through the National Park of the Belluno Dolomites, and head for Canazei and then turn back east to Cortina. Probably about 6 hours.
