What's the best debit card to use to withdraw cash from ATMs, Schwab or CapOne 360?
Capital One 360.
Anyone can get it.
Absolutely ZERO fees for international use.
You only open the type of account you want (Checking which provides the debit card, and you can open others as needed they are a full service bank).
Account will never close for inactivity as long as the balance remains positive (as little as $1).
Higher than average daily withdrawal limits (you can choose the limit).
Thanks, Mark. I did call Capital One 360. They did say that they don't charge a withdrawal or conversion fee. However, they indicated that, if the local bank charges a fee, they would pass that charge to me.
Schwab. No fees. Any fees by bank ATM issuing currency rebated. Zero foreign transaction fee. Works perfectly worldwide. Excellent customer service...wish all companies tried to match such.
Thanks, Bruce.
Yes, that is the same as most banks do in the US when you use an ATM not belonging to your bank: the ATM operator charges a fee to get money you pay it. But most European ATM operators don't charge fees. Some are starting to, but still plenty of banks with zero fees at the ATM end of the transaction.
I use Wells Fargo. They don't charge fees for premier accounts.
We use a Fidelity SmartCash card. This card is tied to our Fidelity brokerage account.
Thanks to all! I decided on a Schwab account. Appears to be the best.
