Best culinary tour/cooking class in Rome?

Hi there,

Any recommendations for culinary tours or cooking classes in Rome? We are traveling with a 12 year old so looking for daytime activities, more so than an evening wine-based event. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

hey andrea
you can check withlocals.com that has a pizza making class and getyoutguide.com has an illuminated rome tour for kids with gelato and pizza, food tour with pizza making, tastings and gelato, private tour for kids along with other kid friendly options. Let her see what they offer and let her decide. They opened a new mercato (market) at termini train station, you can take her browsing, heard it's big and nice. i went to the one in florence, so much to see and eat. off the beaten track and a train ride to orvieto if possible, there is labottegadeltortellino.com that is a small shop that makes gnocchi, tortellini, fresh local pasta umbrichelli in front of you. you may want to take her to campo de fiori and walk into the meat and deli shop, antico norcineria viola (anamericaninrome) talks about gourmet salami, mom you may enjoy your time too. happy travels
