Best boat tours from Amalfi to see Amalfi Coast?

We are staying in Amalfi for 3 days and want to see the best things by land and water. We are looking to book day tours with reputable companies, any suggestions?

Seems like there is 1-2 major ones that go from Amalfi - Positano - sorrento when I was there in 2022.

We went the opposite way from Sorrento. It was BY FAR the best way to see the cities, we shared a mini bus with people from Sorrento to Positano and it was a total nightmare driving gets you nowhere fast there.

The only thing I can’t remember was if the sailing we took was a hop on hop off or you needed to designate the times you wanted to leave once you were dropped off. I feel like it was the latter.

Regardless, these cruises are plentiful and imo, I probably wouldn’t handcuff yourself to booking well in advance. Just find the dock they are departing from and make your choice the day before/day of.

Last year I saw the Amalfi Coast once from a small boat on a tour from Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast and a few times from ferries in trips between Capri, Positano and Amalfi.

The boat tour was on a small boat with maybe 50 passengers with most passengers having obstructed views of the coast.

The trips on the ferries had unobstructed views of the coast if you chose to move around.

When I first took the boat tour I was thrilled by it as I had nothing to compare it with. But after taking the ferries, I felt like the small boat tour was wasted money.

So see the coast from the ferries. The ferry I liked best was Positano Jet.

Make sure to visit Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, both are in Ravello. You don't need a guide to see them.

It all really depends on what time of year you are going. We saw a lot of World Tours Mercedes Sprinter vans in the last week

We were on the Amalfi Coast last week. I had a car for 5 days but didn't Two nights in Sorrento, one of those days trained it to Pompeii, bus to Vesuvius, next day drove to Praiano, did a cooking experience, drove to Amalfi for two nights, bussed to Bomerano and did the Sentieri degli Dei hike to Positano, ferry to Amalfi, rest, bus to Ravello in the evening. The Villas are open until 5:30 or so but not the nicer hotels or restaurants, including Villa Cimbrone. The workers there were just locking up and they said April 10 or 11th. Most places were doing renos or refreshes. We drove back to Sorrento the next day, gave up the car, left our luggage at the ferry terminal, wandered Sorrento and then took a 45 minute ferry to Naples.
