What would be the most convenient (to see a few sites) area of Rome to look for an apartment for a short stay?

I've only stayed at Hotel Campo di Fiori which has a great location but I believe that they have some apartments too. Try www.hotelcampodefiori.com

Hi Sue,
My husband and I recently stayed in the center of Rome, and we found a great little bed and breakfast apartment very close to all the major sights. It's called the Matisse B&B, and it's a very low-cost place to stay and still offers great comfort and convenience, with a very helpful staff and free breakfast. It is very close to the Colosseum, and just a short walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Here is the website: http://www.matissebb.com. Hope that helps!

I would stay at hotel parlamento..they are a family run hotel and were very helpful..very close to the trevi fountaina and spanish steps so you are in the middle of eveything.. jo
