Donna does an amazing job on Tripadvisor explaining how to buy Underground and/or Belvedere tickets. I'm hoping to buy tickets myself for May which won't go on sale until 21st March 2018. There've been a number of significant changes in the ticket buying process in the past week and this link includes the most up-to-date posts on this topic: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187791-i22-k11278597-o160-Booking_the_Colosseum_Underground_and_or_Belvedere_tours-Rome_Lazio.html

Chani, the Belvedere is the upper levels of the Colosseum.

There are now four categories you can book for the colosseum underground and/or belvedere tour. They are:

1) full entrance-23.00 This is the cost of the tour plus cost of entry. This is for anyone 12 or older.
2)reduced entry-18.50- this is for EU citizens between 18-25 who qualify for reduced entry plus the tour.

3) free ticket and tour- 11.00- this is for people using the romapass or who have already purchased entry tickets or those 12-17 who qualify for free entry.
4) free ticket/free tour- this is for kids under 12 who qualify for free entry and tour for free.

Coopculture have debited my account for entry tickets. How long after do l get email with ticket that l can print.

If you only booked entry tickets you should get the email soon after booking. If you booked a tour or any reduced or free tickets you won't be able to print your tickets and must pick them up on site. Without knowing exactly what you purchased it's hard to say what to expect. Check your spam/junk folder.

hi,

when I book for example the underground tickets, do they also include the entrance? or do I have to then go back and buy the entrance ticket separately? the website is a little bit confusing.

thanks

I'm trying to get tickets for the underground for June.. but I don't even understand when are they going on sale now..

Looks like you want to be online at 9:00 AM ROME time tomorrow morning (March 21) for June tickets:

https://www.coopculture.it/en/ticket.cfm?office=Colosseo%2C%20Sotterranei%20%2C%20Terzo%20Ordine%20e%20Belvedere&id=0&evento=6

"The online reservations for Colosseum’s Underground and Belvedere for
the months of May and June will be activated on March 21, at 9 am, in
the only quarterly availability."

You want the "Underground and arena tours in English, quarterly availability" option.

You will need to purchase a separate entry ticket along with your tour if you haven't already purchased one. That's now a selection you can make at the same time you purchase your tour. As that same page states:

"It will be possible to purchase the following typology of tickets at
each scheduled entrance-time: Full entrance ticket € 12,00 + guided
tour € 9,00....Each ticket is combined with: Reservation fee € 2,00"

If you land tickets, bring the print-out of the tour/entry voucher they'll email you to skip the ticket line, and be there well in advance to get through a potentially long security queue.

"Full" entrance ticket are for adults. See that same page for children's rates.
(Donna, please make any corrections necessary to the above if I've missed something or made any errors?)

I've been trying to read all of the convos about the Colosseum entrances/tix and have just come from their website. I want to use the Romapass and see the Colosseum, Underground and Belvedere, but want to use Rick Steves' audio tour instead of signing up in a tour. Which tickets do I order for this and be able to choose a reservation time? Full ticket? It only says Colosseum entry on that one for 14 euros. So confused.
