Traveling in mid September and just booking hotels, but finding many are sold out. I was able to find two that are available for our dates and wondering if anyone has an opinion on either. Hotel Florence in Bellagio and Casa Stacy Hideaway in Varenna.

Hotel Florence is one of Bellagio’s best hotels, on waterfront. Grab it. They must have had a cancellation.

We stayed in a cottage in Varenna in early Oct 2014 and it was fine but if Hotel Florence in Bellagio has an opening I would take it--great location. We took the ferry to Bellagio for a daytrip and really enjoyed it.

Thanks, booked Hotel Florence! Posted another topic in Switzerland forum. Struggling with Zermatt lodging too. Really behind the eight ball on accommodations for September I guess.
