Four adults will be traveling by car from Bellagio to Orvieto on September 28. What stops would you suggest along the way? We are all interested in history and all things Italian! Is there a restaurant on the route that you’d suggest for lunch? Our exact route will be determined by your suggestions. We are more interested in the journey rather than speed. Thank you.

The route you take would be from Bellagio thru Milan to Parma, Bologna, Florence and on down to Orvieto. It's a long day @ 325 miles--much of which is on controlled access and sometimes toll roads.
Eating at a restaurant is all up to you. It depends on how much time you've got--being you have such a long day ahead of you. There are Roadhouse Restaurants in Modena and in Bologna along the highway you're going to be traveling. They have all kinds of foods in what we'd consider to be diner food.
