Bellagio Lake Como-Hotel Belvedere or Residence L'Uilvo with access to Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni?

Checking to see if anyone has been to either hotel, and if you could give your input on which one they preferred. I have booked the Residence L'Ulivo, it's seated behind the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni with full access. I have a balcony, but the view might just be a parking lot. The Hotel Belvedere we could get a balcony with a view of the beautiful lake. I do love the historical look of the Grand Hotel, so leaning to stay where we booked, but I'm interested to see if anyone has stayed at either and their thoughts.

Thanks!

We stayed at Hotel Belvedere on our first visit to Lake Como. It was a classic hotel, and most guests were British and they ate dinner there too. It is situated a little way up the hill from town center.,We are there one time but preferred walking into town for dinner. The lake and mountain views from our room and it’s two balconies on the top floor were gorgeous. When we returned to Bellagio we decided to stay right in town and have always stayed there on return trips. The big plus for Belvedere is that it includes a parking area.
I have not stayed at Residence L’Ulivo but have walked by it many times. We did consider it one time but it’s location behind the large hotel Serbelloni turned us off, at least for the unit that was available. You will actually be in Bellagio there unlike Hotel Belvedere. I probably would choose L’Ulivo of these two choices. And having access to Hotel Grand Serbelloni’s perks would be wonderful.

Thanks for that review of your stay at Hotel Belvedere. We are not driving, so we do like that the Residence is closer to the lake front. I know the room is average, but we will have access to some very stunning views and historical hotel.

And you will be very near La Punta and the gorgeous views of the lake and Alps beyond.

We only walked through the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni last week. , We did not see the rooms. All I can say is the hotel, pool, grounds, and view are spectacular!!! I imagine the prices are too, however, if it were me I would stay at Residence L'Uilvo if access is allowed to Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni and assuming there is a big price difference.

It's about $1,000.00 to upgrade for the two nights... I thought it would pay for a couple of nice dinners there with a cocktail or two! :)
