Hi my son is traveling from train or bus to Italy from Prague.. He needs inexpensive places to stay and needs to safely get to bedonia where he has a relative.. Thankyou! Also he needs travel and safety tips ..anything is helpful.. He is on Very low budget
Since his relatives live in Bedonia I am sure they can tell him how to get there. Why doesn't he contact them and ask for their advice? He will probably take advice about safe travels more seriously if he actually does his own research on this.
If you google map it from Milan you will see it requires several different buses. Surely his relatives will know which major city is the best jumping off place for this very remote town and what the bus situation is.
Maybe they will pick him up a train station along the coast, such as Chiavari or Lavagna. He can fly nonstop from Prague to Milan for about $50 on EasyJet, CzechAir, etc; see www.skyscanner.com.
By train/bus, the most convenient departures with just one connection each, and using one day on a flexi-style of rail pass, are either two daytime buses operated by German rail, or an overnight train to Zurich and morning connection to Milan.

marirose,
A few thoughts on your questions.....
- Using a flight from Prague to Milan as Laura suggested will be inexpensive if booked early and probably the cheapest option. Note that the cheapest tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable once booked. It's a very pleasant and relatively short flight. If he uses easyJet (which is what I did on the same route), he will arrive at MXP Terminal 2. From there he can use the Malpensa Shuttle (Bus) to get to Milano Centrale rail station. The ride takes about an hour (depending on traffic), and the cost is currently €10 PP (buy tickets from the driver).
- At Milano Centrale, he can buy rail tickets for his ongoing journey either from a Kiosk or from the staffed ticket office (there's usually a long queue there, so the Kiosks are easier. There are Kiosks at ground level adjacent to the ticket office, which is at the opposite end of the station from the Malpensa Shuttle stop.
- From Milano Centrale there are two routes to consider. As suggested earlier, if the relatives can pick him up from one of the rail stations along the coast, that's one option. If your son would prefer to use public transit, the easiest option is probably to travel by train from Milan to Fornovo di Taro. The trip will range from about 1H:35M to 2H:40M, depending on which trains he connects with (one change in Parma) and the lowest fares are currently listed at €14.75 PP. The rail segment from Parma to Fornovo will be via Regionale and if your Son hasn't travelled by train in Italy before, tell him that he MUST validate (time & date stamp) his ticket prior to boarding the train, or he'll risk hefty fines which will be collected on the spot!
From Fornovo to Bedonia the only option appears to be Bus. This website should provide the schedules

The departures to Bedonia appear to be a bit "limited", so if your relatives could pick up your Son in Fornovo, that might be the easiest option. Travel by car from Fornovo to Bedonia appears to be about 45 minutes each way.
Hi thank you all for your replies. I should have clarified that he had been doing research but he was just a bit overwhelmed. Also the relatives don't know who he is and don't have a phone. He's basing the trip off of knowledge from another relative who visited them 6 years ago.
marirose,
Thanks for the additional information. If the relatives don't have a phone, will he be able to contact them before he arrives? Is your Son travelling with a phone?
There is no way to reach the distant relatives. (His aunt visited them 7 yrs ago and they welcomed her! )If he decides to go he is just going to show up at their front door! (He has a cell phone)
