Hi! My husband and I will be traveling to Italy in May, 2011. We will begin in Rome and work our way North to Vicenza. We are trying to find a reasonably priced (under 100 euro) bed and breakfast "off the beaten path" however, will we not have a car and will need to use public transportation, or perhaps a driver from the establishment could pick us up. Any recommendations? Thank you!!
Hello Tina, fellow Portlander!
Please clarify, are you looking for a place to stay somewhere between Rome and Vicenza rather than in either of those two cities? How many nights would you be staying? Or are you looking for multiple places along the way?
Hi Laurel, fellow Portlander! :-) Yes, we are looking for a place to stay somewhere between Rome and Vicenza, but outside of the big city. The problem I am finding is that the homes located in the hills require a car to get there. I have reserved a room in Orviento (thanks Jo!) on our way to Vicenza, but I would like to find another place to stay on our way back to Rome (for one or two nights). Thanks Laurel!!!
