We are looking for a nice B&B centrally located in Emilia-Romagna for a 3-night stay for the two of us in September. It would be great if a nice restaurant was close by or at the B&B.

Since you don't seem to be getting replies, I can at least suggest that you check the Logis d'Italia association of hotels: http://www.logis.it/index.asp?Lingua=UK
It's an association of small family-run hotels, usually with restaurants.
You can also Google "agriturismos" for Emilia-Romagna. It may be a little more difficult to find one for just three nights.

Several years ago we stayed at Il Palazzo, a b&b just outside of the town of Brisighella. They have nice rooms and apartments at reasonable prices. There are two hotels in the town, with good restaurants; and you can also get meals at the b&b. We were able to do daytrips to Ravenna, Bologna, Ferrara, and Faenza. The farm and BB are quite nice, we stayed there in October.Marta runs the place and she is an American, but has lived there for at least a decade. Her aunts own the place.
They had a nice restaurant, but it was undergoing a change in management. Ask about it.
Castelfranco Emilia is a nice, midsized town about half way between Bologna and Modena. I think you'll like it.
