Does anyone know if the beaches in Cinque Terre are open in late March and early April? I noticed that some activities are only offered in the peak season. Also, for those that have been to the area, how many days do you suggest we spend there? Thanks.

The beaches are always "open." The commercial setups with rental chairs, umbrellas, etc seem to commence sometime in mid-april, depending on when Easter is and how warm the weather is. I stay in the CT every year, 5-7 days. My favorite lodging is in Monterosso.

Keep in mind that " beaches " in the CT are not in abundance, are small,rocky and difficult to access. Look at a few photos so that you are prepared. That said, the CT area is beautiful and deserves at least three days.
