Hi! My husband and I are staying in Sorrento and are considering taking a ferry to Ischia for our last day. I read a previous forum post with suggestions on going to the Cartaromano beach near the Castle Aragonese. Has anyone been around this time of the year and enjoyed the beach and seeing the castle? If not the beach and castle, is there enough to see in the town of Ischia Ponte for a day? Thank you!
October 1 or October 31? That could make a meaningful difference on a beach experience there.
I've gone swimming in the Mediterranean on the last couple days of September, and the water was colder than I would like, but it was doable (for a while). But 4 weeks later, I suspect I would not have stayed in the water for more than a couple minutes (if at all).
October 16. We went swimming at Capri and could handle the water temp although it was cold for us.
