Many years ago, I attended a performance of Aida at the Baths of Caracalla. Do they still do opera there? Is it hard to get tickets? I can remember that it got quite chilly as the evening went on!

I saw Aida last August... you are correct, it cools off dramatically. I was able to get tickets a week before the show.
Search for "Terme di Caracalla Opera" and you should find what you desire.
