We will arrive to Bari by ferry from dubrovnik at 8 a.m. With our car . We like to visit poligna a mare-
Monopoli-alberro bello-Ostuni-Lecce-Otentra and Matera. Would like to stay two nights in one town and make day side trips . Then drive on to Sorrento.
What would be a good iterenary to do this . What town would be wise to stay the two nights? Or what could we skip.

Do you mean Otranto?
I don't know how many places you will get to in two days, but from a small trullo B&B ten minutes outside Alberobello some friends and I drove to the places on your list, except for Otranto, and we spent a couple of nights in Matera as well.
For your itinerary and time, consider basing in Lecce or near Alberobello (but not in town, too much neon),

I have not visited this area, so I would steal some timing ideas from Rick's South Italy Tour itinerary. www.viamichelin.com can help plan driving time. Since Rick's Italy guidebook doesn't cover this area, do you have another resource that does? Lonely Planet sells single chapters online, if you don't need a whole book.
