Bari or Brindisi?

I will have a few days solo to explore Puglia before meeting friends in Lecce and am trying to decide where to fly into--Bari or Brindisi. Which city is more appealing? Thanks.

Brindisi is closer to Lecce. Bari has more flights.
It really depends on where you want to visit. Bari is closer to Matera and Alberobello is between the two.

Matera is a wonderful place and easy to get to by train or bus from Bari. From anywhere else it's a challenge without a car.
