We are staying in Bari for three nights in early October and would like recommendations for a hotel near the sea and also near the old town of Bari Vecchia. We are three seniors, fairly active, so close to historic attractions would be helpful. Also, any private tour guide that you've had good experience with would be helpful, as we would like to visit Sannicandro de Bari and Andria, my grandparents villages outside of Bari. Grazie!

We are going in June, so I can’t give you a personal reference yet. But we are staying at the Dilman Hotel - arranged by our travel advisers - Italy with Bella.

We spent four nights at BRA HOTEL last September and I highly recommend, although the price is very high. Service and food were spectacular. They even invited us to enjoy a free dinner during our stay. A few blocks from the water, though.
We are going back in May so I am also looking; would prefer a less expensive property than the BRA this time.

After looking through multiple hotel sites, and reviewing recommendation, we decided on the Dilman. We will post a review after our stay there.
