Are there many options in CT for retrieving cash from an ATM? I'm assuming Monterosso will have the best options.

Rick's intro to that chapter says that "banks and ATMs are plentiful throughout the region." So although I haven't been to Corniglia lately, I'd fell comfortable to count on at least one ATM there, as well as in each other town.

I know that Vernazza had two right on the main drag a short distance apart. Monterosso would certainly have more, it won't be an issue.

ATMs, debit cards, etc., are there to serve the banking needs of the locals just as the ATMs are in the US. So you will fine ATMs where the people are. Just look for a bank is your best option.

There are two ATM's a short distance apart on the upper part of Via Roma in the old town part of Monterosso (left hand side when heading uphill). There should be at least one in the new town area, possibly near the train station but I can't recall the exact location.
In Riomaggiore there are a couple of ATM's in the station plaza, directly opposite the ticket office.

Vernazza also has one about 50 meters from Il Pirata which i have used with great success.
