My husband and I are travelling from Rome to Naples in June and want to stop at the Monte Cassino Abbey and cemeteries on our way through. Problem is we will have our larger travel backpacks as we are transiting through. Is there anywhere at the railway station to store them before getting onto the bus to go up to the Abbey? Also would it be best to buy separate train tickets for each part of the journey or one ticket from Rome to Naples. Thanks for your help.
No baggage storage at this station.
Two separate tickets are better. With one ticket you would need to complete the trip within a few hours from the initial validation (date stamp)
Thanks very much. This has definitely made us think how we are going to do this. Looks like we will double back from Naples if we have a free day. Cheers
An extra question if you don't mind - Can we take larger backpacks into the Abbey. I am guessing there are people who will travel through and stop with their luggage? Thanks again
