When traveling by train from Florence to CT, could a person stop in Orvieto and/or Sienna and store baggage somewhere to sightsee?
Sheree,
Neither Siena or Orvieto are on the way.
You're right, sorry, Rome to Florence is what I meant to say...Thank you...I am getting overwhelmed with confusion. LOL
Ron in Rome tells how to find out if train stations have left luggage; see his web page at http://www.roninrome.com/%20transportation/italian-train-station-information
Shere,
By train Siena is not on the way from Rome to Florence. If you take the SENA bus from Rome to Siena you can store your bags at the bus station in Siena. The bus station is located under Piazza Gramsci.
The left luggage in Orvieto train station was not occupied the last time I stopped there and it didn't look like it had been open in some time.
Thank you Mike...I could not figure it out for the life of me. Of course the fact that you can only find that info in the Italian version...why would I look there...I don't speak Italian. That was a great help!! Much appreciated!!
