How feasible would it be to not check luggage at Pisa Centrale, but take with us to Field of Miracles. Is there a baggage storage at the bus station just outside this area? I understand there is no place on sight and you can not take these bags with you inside Duomo or Bapistery. Looking to avoid having to backtrack to train station and instead leave by bus for Lucca from Tower area. Thanks

Three of of us did this when we went to PIsa- just brought suit cases with because it was the most convenient option with our itinerary. There wasn't a place to store it at the station that I found. We just took turns leaving one person with the bags and the other two taking pictures.

Kathy, I have never heard of any luggage storage area at or near the leaning tower. We have used the staffed left luggage facility at Pisa Centrale. As you stand on the main train platform, turn until the station is on your left and the tracks are on your right. Walk down to the last two buildings on your left. Go between those two building and the left luggage facility in a small building behind those two buildings (unless they moved it).
