We've had a great couple of days in Milan, and are heading to Levanto/CT tomorrow. If possible, we'd like to see the top of the Duomo on our way out-- without bags.
Does anyone know of baggage storage in the area? We'll pass through Cardona Station, but I can't confirm if they have storage.

Trains to Levanto and C5 leave from Milano Centrale station, which also has bag storage. Alternatively, leave your bags for free at your hotel and return for them before heading to the train station. The piazza in front of the Duomo could be called Pickpocket Centrale.
We had passed through the plazza a half a dozen times over the past years and not sure that I would classify it as Pickpocket Centrale. It didn't look or feel any difference than dozens of other plazza all over Europe. Be sure to stick your head in the Galleria to the left of the Duomo as your face the Duomo. You will never believe what is located on the NE corner of the center of the Galleria.
I know Milano Centrale has the bag storage. I don't believe Cardona does. Will your train continue onto Milano Centrale?
Pickpocket Centrale? I go to Milano every year and have never had a problem in that piazza, or elsewhere in the city. Perhaps Roberto will come by with stats.
