Bag/Luggage Deposits at Train Stations

We are packing lightly, but are wondering if anyone knows how large the bag deposits are at train stations? Large enough for a carry-on suitcase? What about a slightly larger than carry-on? We likely wont need to use these more than once, but want to make sure we take bags that will actually fit.

The bag deposits are rooms with shelves, and they are manned by a person. It's not a deposit in the sense of being a locker with a limited size, it's more like a coat-check type of area. They can accommodate things of any size and I have seen very large items, suitcases, golf bags, musical instruments, you name it. My experience in a few cities with it is that they will want to copy your passport for ID for when you pick it up.

As mentioned, they accept all varieties and sizes of suitcases. I'm sure you'll have no problems with a "larger than" carry-on suitcase. This post, Left Luggage Facilities, gives you a list of the train and airports that have these facilities. Good Luck!

Just allow plenty of time for standing in a long line to drop off and pick up! Jan B
