I am looking for a bag check in Montecatini - taking the train in from Lucca in the morning and moving forward to Florence in the early evening. It doesn't look like there is anything available. Please let me know if you know otherwise.

There's nothing at the train station that I'm aware of.
Best bet is probably to roll it (or taxi) the few blocks up the street to whatever spa you'll be visiting - am sure they can sort it out for you if you're there for the day.
Remember to get off at Montecatini Centro rather than Montecatini Terme - will be a much shorter walk for you.
