Back to Planning

I am trying to decide to fly into Naples and out of Rome. My husband and I want to see the Amalfi Coast and the Cinque Terre. Is it possiple to take a train from Naples to La Spezia? I was trying to follow the coaast line north and then back to Rome. Does this make sense? We are flying "open jaw" and flying May 2009. - Thank you, Cindy

It really doesn't make that much sense for the effort in this instance. Naples and Rome are so close together that flying open jaws won't save you much time. If you have a great deal, of course, then take it. But from Naples to La Spezia you'll go through Rome.

Cindy, you might be better to fly into Rome (visit Rome and the Amalfi Coast) and fly home from Milano (visit the Cinque Terre). That would be a bit more efficient, and would avoid the trip back to Rome for the return flight.

Cheers!
