B&Bs in Rome

I am going to Italy in March and am looking for a bed and breakfast or hotel in Rome that serves breakfast. Anyone know of any nice ones that are not expensive?

There are lots of nice ones. What's your idea of "not expensive" in dollars or euros?

I use two. They are run down, funky, fairly cheap for Rome, can be noisy, have hot showers and are centrally located within a few minutes of Campo dei fiore, which is just my cup of tea - giubbonari 23 and Domus Ester

Maison Giulia was great!!! Best location, nice staff, lotsa English TV channels, reasonable with nice breakfast. $120 is not realistic for a nice place.

One of the smallish hotels in Rome that is used by RS Tours and many on this website is the Hotel Sonya across from the Opera and near the Termini RR Station. It is clean and comfortable, has a quaint elevator, serves a nice breakfast as part of the room rate, is near the Metro, bus stops and of course the trains, and is priced at or below your range of $120/night. The area is not as scenic as the Centro Storico, but hotel prices are quite a bit lower. There are other similar possibilities in the area. www.hotelsonya.it.

We have twice stayed at the All'orologio which is in a very convenient area near the Piazza Navona. It is stylish, comfortable and in a very pleasant street.
It is not especially cheap but I've included their website and leave you to decide if it looks good to you.

If you haven't looked already, check out Airbnb.com. I've booked a wonderful apartment near the Spanish Steps with an outdoor patio for $110/night for May 2015. There are tons of listings in Rome through Airbnb.

I've also booked a great place in Positano for a week in May 2015 for $1900/week. Great location with also a huge patio with a great view to the water and a private path to the beach.

Check it out!!

Since 2010 we've been staying at the B&B Armonio Al' Opera on Via die Viminale across the street from the Roma Opera House. The young man who runs this place is Paolo and his family's company ma manufactured the furniture in the rooms. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean. He serves breakfast every morning around 7:30. He will make pick-up arrangements to and from the airport to his b&b and he has a wealth of knowledge concerning Roma and its environs.

Now we only consider this b&b for our annual stay in Roma.
