B & B suggestions for Siena / or Florence

Greetings to All!!

My Wife and I are planning a week trip to Tuscany area around Florence/ Siena this June.

We are looking for any new suggestions on a family B & B in these areas? Any suggestions ? We would like to stay with a private family out of the way type places. $'s isn't a issue.

Thanks

The search bar above will give you numerous suggestions for this !

  1. theisabellaexperience.com is the new site for Isabelle's four properties in Tuscany. Her Agriturismo Cretaiole is further south around Montepulciano, but the other properties may be closer to Siena. She gets rave reviews here !

  2. Borgo Argenina - in Gaiole in Chianti (right outside of Siena) is charming. Elena cooks with her guests and her homemade breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the vineyards is incredible.

  3. Frances Lodge - up on the hill above Siena. This is a great B&B where you can enjoy wine on the terrace overlooking Siena, and then walk down the hill into the town. You get the agriturismo experience with the city.

If price isn't an issue, take a look at lupaia.com. Spectacular !

It's by Montepulciano, but the property is stunning.

It is a small hotel, not a B&B, but it is very nice, on the Arno River for a great price. Check out the Hotel Balesteri.

If you wanted to stay in Florence proper, we loved Hotel Torre Guelfa, Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni, or Hotel Scaletta.

Each have fabulous rooftops for wine and breakfast !

B&B Monte Oliveto has a lovely garden for breakfast and is a bit less "hotel" like.

Another fantastic place is Fonte Martino (fontemartino.com) in Montepulciano. They are just outside the city and it's very private. They just newly renovated everything as well. Enjoy your trip!
