Looking for a suggestion of a good B&B or small family operated hotel in Venice. My price range is $100-$150 Euros a night. Given my choice we'd prefer to stay in San Polo, Dorsoduro or San Marco but staying in Castello within a reasonable distance of Rialto is also good. Unfortunately, we'll be in Venice in late May which I believe is high season so finding something nice even in that price range might be tough. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Try Hotel Tivoli; it is near the Frari Church. Rates are reasonable and breakfast is generous. I've stayed in a single room a few times and liked the neighborhood feel of the place. It's a 5-min walk from the San Toma vaporetto stop and not on a canal. It is possible to walk to the train station in about 10 minutes. There is a fairly large reception area and a separate room for games or internet use. They had a pc for guests to use when I was there (last year, I think).
