B&B Rome?

Looking for a B&B (I assume they are cheaper than hotel?) Single with a private bathroom - walking distance to Fountain, etc. 60-90 Euro a night?? I am currently planning 4 nights in Rome (but I have to be at the airport at 6am the day I leave so the last day will be a short one). Joie :)

Sorry - lol. Trevi Fountain. It seems that is the popular area to stay?

The Centro Storico of Rome is compact and easily seen on foot. We stayed near Piazza Navona (another great fountain!) and it was maybe a 12-15 minute walk to the Trevi. Trevi area can be crowded and noisy at night, FYI.

We found several apartments for that price, close enough to metro lines, through Airbnb.com.

Hi, I'm Steve, the owner of The Beehive. Thanks Laurel for recommending us! I just wanted to clarify something because sometimes people get confused: If you want to reserve at the Beehive, you need to go to www.the-beehive.com and not cross-pollinate.com Cross-Pollinate is our vacation rental agency - it's for all sorts of other apartments and B&Bs that we recommend. Just the other day someone reserved at a B&B on our site thinking he was reserving The Beehive, and it was a bit confusing. So if you're interested, I just wanted to point this out to avoid any messiness. Steve

Hi Joie! Barbara's B&B is a great place to stay, although it's not within walking distance to the Fountain. It's in a great, quiet neighborhood and Barbara and her husband serve a fabulous breakfast and are great hosts. They are located about a mile from the Vatican. I'm not exactly sure how far away from the Trevi Fountain, but it's not too far. http://www.bbrome.it/english/
