it's really hard to find a reliable b&b/accomodations in cinque terre online. i would prefer to stay in vernazza, does anyone have recommendations for anything around the 100$/night range that is CLEAN and cute-ish?

Hi Esther - Nerina Moggia in the central square of Vernazza has a beautiful view of the harbor and the rooms are very clean.
www.nerinarooms.it is their website - you should love it - great location

We found a great one..Camere Giuliano in Vernazza. He was reliable, nice family, and the place was clean, great view, away from town so it was quiet (other than the train, but it was fine) Look it up on trip advisor..it's rated #1 choice.
I am very sensitive to noise, but the train didn't bother me at all. I think maybe I have more trouble with people making noise which is why I wanted to be away from the center of town. There are lots of steps, but a great terrace and view. Couldn't say anything but great things about it. I think his double rooms would meet your price limits, but check it out.
