Any suggestions for a decent place (and location) to stay in Rome? I've been all over Venere.com, etc. but just wanted to put it out there :). I am hoping to spend no more than 100 euro/night. Thanks!
I booked 4 nights early June thru Cross-Pollinate based on RS book. They have several locations all within your budget and are quick with reply.
Thanks julie! I checked out the site and it is awesome, i am planning on using it.
Julie, you might also want to consider one of the convents that offers rooms to travellers.
It took me a much longer to find a place I found acceptable for price/quality in Rome than any other place on my trip. I finally went with The Beehive and chose to stay in the apartments rather than the hotel/hostel. Looks fun!!
I stayed at The Aberdeen in Rome just last week for 90 Euro per night. The location was great and they have free internet access.
In early April 2009, we stayed at the B&B Al Centro di Roma. We loved it there - it was super close to the Piazza Navonna, Pantheon, Campo d'Fiore and about a 15 minute walk to the Vatican. The breakfast was served at a little cafe across the street, lots of nearby restaurants, and there was also a vending machine area (water, ice cream, coffee, snacks) nearby as well. There is frequent bus service on the main street. Rooms were nice, there was wi-fi service and the proprietors were really great.
