My husband and I are planning to be in Palermo this May. Does anyone know a good value B & B located in the city, close to sights but not noisy? Something around $100 or less/night. We've loved staying in places Riok Steves has recommended in his travel books but there isn't one for Sicily. Thanks for any help. Nancy

Hi Nancy, We stayed 2 nights in Palermo @ the Hotel Joli. The cost was 57 Euro and included breakfast, a very good value. The rooms weren't large but were comfortable and the staff was very obliging. We felt that it was very centrally located and we walked to most of the downtown sites. We wished that we could have stayed another 2 nights but that was all we had. We booked thru Venere.com and really recommend that you re-confirm 48 hours in advance and bring your reservation copy with you. When we called to book airport pick-up, they said that they didn't have our reservation but as soon as we quoted the Venere res. #, they were able to find it right away. We would stay there again for it's location and value. Sherry
