Avoiding lines at museums

Hello,
I bought a three-day combo ticket to the Uffizi, Accademia and Pitti museums in Florence. I was allowed to reserve my entrance time at the Uffizi. Is there a way to do so at the Accademia, as well? I'm all for avoiding lines whenever possible.
I'd appreciate any help you all can offer!

Best,

Erin

Hi Erin,

A good question. I was at the Uffizi and Accademia many years ago. I bought my tickets in advance for the Uffizi, but don't recall doing so for the Accademia. In any event, I may have been fortunate, but I was able to get in without waiting. If you don't find your answers here, or in another forum, you might contact the hotel you're staying at and ask for their advice. The hotel I stayed at in Florence was very helpful.

Hi Erin -
On a whim, you should check the ticket that you purchased to make SURE it includes the Accademia? Other than the 72-hour Firenze Card, which includes much more than the 3 museums you listed, I'm unaware of any ticket which includes only the Uffizi, Accademia and Pitti. Maybe I've missed something?

If it was the Firenze Card that you purchased, there are instructions on the website for making timed-entry reservations for both the Uffizi and Accademia.

Otherwise, make sure that what you purchased wasn't the "PassePartout 3 Days" combo ticket for the Uffizi, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens and Archeological Museum.

That particular ticket allows you to make a timed-entry reservation for the Uffizi but not for the others it includes as queues are never long enough at those to be of concern. It doesn't include the Accademia.
