On the Vatican website I see no availability for regular entry tickets on Sept 30 or October 1st. There are other ticket combos including breakfast, etc. Does this mean they are sold out for regular tickets, or have they not released reservations for those dates?

Hi Bonniemcneely2 - I'm looking for tickets for the previous week, and see there are some regular entry tickets but they all include a guide, headset, etc. (doubles the entry ticket price). You can click "show only bookable visits" at the top - maybe you've already done that. I guess you can't wander around on your own . . .

General entry tickets usually go on sale about 60 days in advance. I see some available on Sept 16th, and nothing bookable after that, which sort of follows that usual schedule. Just keep checking the site as the July 30th date (abt. 60 days before Sept. 30th) gets closer.
