Automatic Rental Car Cost: $100 - $130 per day? September.

Hi, heading to Italy for a week in the Dolomites and then 9 days for Sardinia. Obviously need to rent a car and confirming that the price I’m seeing sounds about right.

Going Venice - Dolomites - Venice so any recommendations for good experiences from Venice airport be great.

Then flying into olbia so car rental recommendations from Olbia airport to drive and explore Sardinia be great as well.

Thanks all.

I’ve used Europcar (via Autoeurope) and Hertz out of Olbia airport. I preferred Hertz, better car and better experience. Don’t recall pricing, it melts into overall trip cost.
Feel free to share itinerary for car type recommendations for the island. At times I wanted a smaller car, at times I was very happy with our SUV on some rough roads.

That price sucks. Last month I had a rental in and out of VCE for an automatic, 11 days, zero deductible, $560. Booked through Kemwel, sister company to Auto Europe.

I book through either one of those sites and modify my booking anytime the price goes down.

Was able to get 7 days from Sixt for an automatic with full protections for around $90 a day. It included tires and 24/7 road side assistance. I probably won't need but the piece of mind for 100-150$ seems worth.

The Sardinia car is definitely what's killing me, but I rather be safe than sorry.
