autoeurope rental/gps

Are you able to request a GPS in your car when you book online? Or do you ask when you are picking up your car?
Does anyone know the extra cost for a GPS?
Thanks.

You can request one. When I leased it was $100 extra to get a GPS. Don't leave the rental place until you know how to use it and are sure it's speaking English. If you can, buy a GPS here with European Maps. Learn to use it here and bring it with you on your trip.

As Brad said, it is better to buy it here and get the maps you will need--especially if you think you will ever drive in Europe again. You can even use one for walking so that you don't get lost trying to make your way back to your hotel. I wish I had been carrying mine with me when I was trying to find a particular restaurant in Strasbourg a couple of weeks ago, but no, it was sitting in the car in the parking garage at our hotel... never DID find that dadgum restaurant and wandered for 2 hours getting hungrier and hungrier before giving up and eating somewhere else.

The website of the rental agency you use can usually tell you. We found that autoeurope does not rent you a gps if your car rental is one way..ie, pick up one city, drop in another city.
