August Sept in Tuscany?

We have a family wedding August 28, 2022 in Tuscany and are hoping to extend our visit for a couple of weeks, Thinking about staying in the area but are wonder if it will be too hot for sightseeing? We have been to Rome, Venice, Florence and Pisa on a bus trip many years ago but have not been elsewhere in Italy. Any suggestions? We were thinking possibly a 7 day cruise around the Greek Islands? Thanks,

I guess it depends what you mean by "Tuscany" - ie one of the cities or a leisurely drive thru the countryside?
It'll be hot but manageable if you can get an early morning start to beat the worst of the heat of the day, then retire to your accommodation until early evening ... sort of like the locals do it.

This year the daily high temperature in September in Siena thus far has been around 85 degrees. My suggestion would be to go north. It would be a great time to visit the Italian alps and some of the beautiful lakes.

The Greek islands will be as hot, if not hotter.
Tuscany will probably be manageable (certainly not the hottest part of Europe!); you could start there for a few days and head north since you have "a couple of weeks" (two? Three?).
