Aug 15 holiday suggestions , Bologna and environs

I’m in Bologna now and wondering if there are any special activities in the city or nearby (accessible by public transit) for the Aug 15 holiday. If not, perhaps someone has some suggestions about things to do on that day, when I believe many restaurants and other venues may be closed?

You could go to the beach / seaside town of Senigllia by train - 2 hours each way.

For an alternative day at the beach from Bologna, the beach of Senigallia is an unmissable destination if you are looking for non-stop movement and fun! From morning to evening its beach is a continuous swarm of people who like you love the beautiful sea but also appreciate the quality summer nightlife.
From Bologna you can reach Senigallia station with the direct Intercity in about two hours, or you can take the Frecciarossa to Pesaro and from here then the train to Senigallia, saving a few minutes of travel. It takes you 5 minutes on foot from the station to reach the iconic city waterfront.
