Audio guides for Rome, Florence,Venice

I have purchased your travel books on each of the city's mentioned and will be travelling in April. Each book describes an audioguide that can be downloaded to mp3's in January but I have not been able to find it in Itunes or on your website - Has it been created yet, and if so where can I find it. Thanks

Another option, get Rick's Rome, Venice and Florence books from the library. In each of them there are walking tours of the city. Just record yourself reading them in an mp3 format, and then load it to your player.

Jarrod: Thanks for your response - I have those books and in each of them Rick is advertising these audiotapes that he is producing - I am sure he will do a much better production and - why reinvent the wheel - my question therefore is have they been produced yet and if so where can i find them.

Marvin, I was in Rome in February 2007. Before I left Australia I purchased a self-guided audio walking tour of Ancient Rome through Amazon. It was called "The Cicerone Walk With Me Tour". If you google Cicerone and Rome and Tour, it should come up. It was very inexpensive and very informative and covered the heart of the city, beginning at the Capitaline Hill, walked us though the Forum and ended at the Colosseum. It gave us information on food, toilet stops etc.and allowed us to walk at our own pace. We could start and stop when we wanted. I think there are also walks for Florence and Venice in the series as well as other places in Italy. Hope this helps. I

Hi Marvin, Rick Steves was just here in my area over the weekend. I attended his 1 hour talk and he did mention his audio guides (free no less) were coming very soon - I think he said February. It was a lot of work that he is very proud of, how cool will that be to be listening to him while glancing at his guide books. I think I will have to schedule another trip just for the experience!
