This is really an unnecessary question, but are women in Italy still wearing winter type leather boots in March, or more springtime shoes? Looks like the highs are in the 60's for the next two weeks (when we will be there), and don't know what shoes to pack. Thanks!
HI, two years ago I observed women wearing boots in May...that said, I bring one great comfortable black mary jane shoe to wear with everything, and a low topped hiking shoe for walking the roman roads thru the hills. I take a small roll aboard with a zip off day pack, because when we visited the Amalfi coast we had to climb 96 steps to our room and I vowed never again to pack more than I could carry on my back if necessary *my roll aboard converts to backpack. I am an almost 60's woman, traveling with a husband who I choose not to weigh down with my junk. Boots are cool (I have multiple pairs), but in the end they aren't as comfy as my great travel shoes, and at airports are a real pain. Hope that helps. Ciao and have a wonderful trip. CT
