I know ladies have to cover their shoulders in the basilica.Do I need to wear a scarf to cover my head?
Can I wear mid calf lenght capris? For men, can they wear Bermuda Shorts? Or does it have to be long pants? Grazie!

You do not need to cover your head and capris will be fine. Men should wear pants as it's more respectful than shorts. Donna

Lots of capris all over Rome this week...would have been more, I'm sure, but it was quite chilly! Rarely did we see any shorts on men or women.

The rule is that for both men and women, shoulders and knees must be covered; bare elbows are OK. So, tank tops are not enough, but polo shirts are fine. Capris are fine; Bermuda shorts, unless they go over the knees, are not. Head coverings need not be worn by men or women.
