Just wondering if there are ATM's in Positano??? Thanks!
ATMs are everwhere. The are for the convenience of the locals who are the primary users and not for tourists.
FWIW, they call them "bancomat" in Italy.
Joan,
Most of the major ATM networks (VISA, Plus, etc.) provide on-line directories with maps. Easy to Google, type in desired location, and then you can zoom in based on block groups, etc. Start w/ hotel zip code. Before I go outside the country, I check out locations in the various cities close to my hotels. That way, I know which ATMS are in my network and "generally" where to find them. Print a page from the on-line directory with close-by locations for each city. For safety reasons (along w/ a generally reduced likelihood of ATMS having skimmers on them), I prefer using an ATM that is at an actual bricks & mortar bank location, preferably inside that location when possible. But, generally wherever tourists spend money, ATMS are very easy to find :) Funny how that works!!
Thanks for the info, everyone! A special thanks to Margaret! What a great tip!
