Athens with elderly parents

Any recommendations on things that would be good to do with elderly parent? Still get around pretty good, but I don't want to plan anything too exhausting. We will only be here 1 day on a cruise stop.

We were in Athens in October '08. I prearranged for a taxi to pick us up at 7:00a.m. from the ship and take us right up to the Parthenon which opened at 8:00a.m. so we were amongst the first to arrive and almost had it to ourselves...we roamed around for a over an hour and by the time we left it was getting crowded. Then he took us to the area where they held the 1st Olympics in 1896? Then to another famous ruin and also through some nice residential districts and the Plaka district. Didn't have to do too much walking so that's what I would do.
