Although we have visited Rome numerous times, we have always used single use tickets on the Metro and buses. For an upcoming trip, we are thinking of buying passes useable over a longer period of time.
My question is this: with single uses passes, you validate your ticket by inserted it into the machine.
I know that with multi day or a weekly pass, all sources say you only need to validate your pass the first time you use it.
But, do you still need to insert your pass into the machines each time you use it?
That seems like the logical thing to do but the advice is always a bit confusing.
So: for instance, second time using a multi-day pass, I assume you still need to insert it upon boarding a bus or using it on the Metro.
Right?
