Assisi to Siena by bus

Hello! Does anyone have a current schedule for buses from Assisi to Siena? I tried to interpret the email I got from Sena.it. I wrote back asking for clarification but haven't received a response. Here's what they wrote: "regarding the question from Assisi to Siena our buses depart from Santa Maria degli Angeli, which remains near Assisi (10 minutes local bus) departure is at 10.45 (first church) at 12.30 with arrival in Siena" Does that mean there's only one bus from Assisi to Siena per day...depart Assisi at 10:45 and arrive Siena at 12:30. Or does it mean there are two buses from Assisi to Siena...one at 10:45 and one at 12:30? If there's only one bus, I'd have to stay more than one night in Assisi to make the most of my stay. Thanks for any help you can give me.

We tried the reverse trip in March. We were in Siena and tried to take a bus to Assisi. There is only one bus a day in either direction. We ended up taking the train. We did go from Assisi to Siena in 2002 but also took the train since the bus schedule was not good for us. Hope this helps.

According to Sena's website, there may be a later bus. Their website shows a Monday-Saturday bus departing from Piazza San Pietro (Parcheggio A) at 5:00pm and arriving Siena train station at 7:05pm. To see the schedule, go to www.sena.it, select the English version, go to Timetable & Fares, and then select Umbria-Toscana route near the bottom of the page. It would be wise to e-mail the Assisi TI office at [email protected] to confirm that the schedule is current. The TI office was very helpful during my stay in Assisi last May.

Thanks, Randy and Frank for your responses. I'll email the Assisi TI office to confirm the schedule.
